Limiting Beliefs

How do limiting beliefs integrate into our lives?

How can we unravel them as adults and how can we invest more in our own children?

It can often stem back from our youngest days where we experience challenging environments, situations and have been programmed and conditioned, this could even be contributed to by our own parents, teachers and family members.

If a child is often told “You’re not good enough”,

If a child is often told to “Stop being stupid”,

If a child is forced to be a success according to others beliefs,

If a child is taught, they must be perfect to be loved,

If a child is taught, they must look a certain way to be accepted,

If a child is punished for not eating food,

If a child is given unhealthy foods as a reward,

If a child doesn’t have the love and support to grow into their highest self,

What do we think the outcome could be?

Ultimately it results in huge disconnection from their true self and depending on the experience, severity and frequency this could all result in unhealthy lifestyle choices, emotional baggage and limiting beliefs throughout the rest of their lives.

Low self-esteem, fear of failure, avoidance of new challenges, self-sabotage, difficulty setting boundaries, people pleasing behaviours, resentment, difficulty in managing emotions, mental health issues, physical health issues, fear of trust, emotional numbness, eating disorders, body dysmorphia are all extremely realistic possibilities.

The above issues are becoming more and more apparent within our society, so what can we do?

We only know what we know until we know some more right? And we can only act in accordance with how conscious we are, nobody is better or worse, superior or inferior we are all at different stages of our journey.

The greatest thing we can do for ourselves or anybody else, is to work on our self!

We need to grow awareness on anything in our lives that really doesn’t serve us a purpose and view it without judgment, blame or fear. But with compassion and an open heart, and an inner calling to make change.

If we want to see change in the world we live in, we need to be that change. This means doing the work on ourselves. Stepping into the unknown and facing those fears, going to the root cause of it all, feeling and healing. Instead of numbing, suppressing and finding distractions.

When we choose to stop going backwards towards safety, we leap frog forwards into growth, and it is never too late to make changes.

We all have the ability to awaken and transmute limiting beliefs, emotional baggage and anything that prevents us from living in true peace, healthier and happier. We can conquer any mountain, physical or emotional, we just need to let go and keep moving forwards one step at a time.

Always know you are more than enough and always have been. And everything you truly need is already within you.

Let’s unlock it!
